Yes, the heat is on as they say....(thank you Kenny Loggins)
Jeff and I have 65 days until we take the plunge and I think we both wish it was 6 days. If it were 6 days, we would be that much closer to wedding bliss with our feet in the warm sands of Antigua. And for me personally...I would have a much needed tan.
I am making this weekend a truly wedding planning weekend - not holding back - no sir ree. I am a checklist person in life, so you can imagine the lists this girls got going for this event.
Looking Good for the Big Day
I have solidified my regular workout schedule, I am meticulously watching what I put in my mouth as to hopefully whittle my waist before the big day. Then I will just start tanning. I mean we all know the tanning mantra...tan fat looks much better than white fat, right? Uh huh. All I am trying for here people is to not MATCH MY DRESS! I should also say, I realize that laying in a plastic bed of warehouse light bulbs is not good for you, I KNOW, but it must be done. We all know that spray tanning is great if you have a sinus infection and cannot smell the scent of perm all over your skin, oh, and are wearing black....neither of which are applicable. So really, I see no other options. (Molly, at least I am still using my ring finger to apply anything around my eyes.)
One question to all of your lovely ladies out there...
I am debating on having some sort of "jug halter" if you will sewn into my dress rather than purchasing a whale bone corset. Your thoughts please, and no, not really a whale bone corset, but well, you get the gist.
Reasoning for the sewn in option: A lot cooler while I am in a heavy dress at high noon on the beach. I will not have to fuss with 2 MILLION little claspy things. No fears of undergarments popping out in pictures.
Reasons for the traditional muffin top sucking option: Enough said. Will I feel better having something suck in my belly?
I pose this question and sit in anticipation for your tips and answers.
Ta-ta for now.

I'm all for the least amount of worry on your wedding day, which means: the least amount of layers the better! We all know I had some layering issues on my own wedding day. Keep everything in its place so the things you don't want everyone else to see won't be seen. If I were you I would do the sew-in option.
Happy planning!
1st... Built in! I hated having a bra under my dress, and I was in rainy cold seattle! Spanx... the kind that cut at knee or higher would be perfecto if you want a layer of smoothing.
2nd... watch the tanning young lady. I've seen what tanning beds and/or baby oil can do - and I'm talking specifically about you! Try out Toma's Tan Perfect. Self tanner that is a little crazy but soooo awesome.
Ok, I am getting into this Toma's Tan Perfect thing....that is amazing. I am ordering now. :)
Just be warned... its like spreading chocolate pudding all over your body before bed. And it does have a odd scent. But, can't resist a good (safe!) tan!!
Be careful with tanning! Us white girls BURN, baby! Besides, white is the new black! : )
Having tried on all that whale bone craziness while dress shopping myself, I'd vote for the built-in bra, and the COMFORT. Those crazy tummy-suckers hurt! I have also heard Spanx rocks, though I've never tried it myself...
