This is by far my favorite season.
I am so excited. The sounds of football games, the crispness of the morning air, the leaves moving into an explosion of colors...if only I had a bright white pair of Keds to wear. This was tradition for me each new school year to pull out a pair of white keds purchased at the Nordy's sale. I was not allowed to touch them until school started and mom held me to it no matter how much I begged.

i SO thought of that yesterday...even though it is still 90 here in..CA but looking on line at GAP I thought to myself wouldn't it be fun to go fall shopping with jos & get a bagel!
nance would buy out the white canvas keds at the nordy's sale. literally, one year she bought 3 pairs for each of the girls - which equals 12 pair. and the same rule applied in our fam - must not wear until the first day of school. aaaah...those were the days.
